Question 1

Does this get me indexed on Google?

Accepted Answer

We rebuild your sitemap every day from what is on your site and keep it current so Google can discover it. What Google chooses to index is Google's decision. No service can guarantee indexation. What we guarantee is that your sitemap is current, so every page is there to be found.

Question 2

Is this the same as Request Indexing in Search Console?

Accepted Answer

No. Request Indexing is a manual, one-URL-at-a-time button with a small daily cap, usually around ten to twenty URLs. On a 4,000-page site that would take the best part of a year. A sitemap carries every URL on your site in a single file with no cap. We rebuild yours daily from what actually exists, so new pages are in it the day after you publish, deleted pages come out, and accurate lastmod tells Google which pages genuinely changed.

Question 3

What is IndexNow?

Accepted Answer

A protocol that Bing, Yandex, Naver and Seznam accept. You push a changed URL and the engine knows to fetch the current version. Google does not accept IndexNow. It has been testing the protocol since 2021 and has never adopted it.

Question 4

How long does setup take?

Accepted Answer

The core service needs no access to your site. One optional step on your side, a line in your robots.txt or a one-time sitemap submission in Search Console, and an optional two-minute key file to switch on the IndexNow push.

Question 5

What is the free build?

Accepted Answer

A one-off sitemap of up to 500 pages, pages only, with no images, videos or files. It is a sitemap build, not indexing. We send it to you by email.

Question 6

Is VAT added to the price?

Accepted Answer

No. Digital Womble Ltd is not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged and the price shown is the price you pay.

Question 7
